The Performance Manager will have direct accountability for the financial and operational performance of the US Aggregates/Asphalt plants. The Performance Manager ensures that each plant is optimized from a cost and performance metric standpoint and is responsible for identification of Best Practices, maximizing KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), PER (Performance Efficiency Reviews), Action Planning, and delivery of cost savings. This key role will work closely with the Market Area Operations Managers and Plant Managers to achieve cost optimization and additionally ensure all assets are properly maintained. This role will be a key contributor in the yearly Manufacturing Business Cycle Processes: examples include – Operations Plan, Performance Plan and Budget. We are seeking candidates with exceptional technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills to influence and affect positive change at a site and market area level.
In addition to Chicago, IL, this role can be located in any of the following cities: Denver CO, Dallas TX, Washington DC, and Boston MA.
Must be able to travel nationally 50% +/-
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
Reports to Aggregate/ Asphalt Performance Director. Works directly with key stakeholders (Plant Managers, Operations Managers, General Managers). Works closely with other functional teams (Safety, Manufacturing, Environmental, Land, Mine Planning, HR and Finance)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Mining Engineering or relevant Engineering degree
Required Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years relevant surface and/or underground mining experience
Travel Requirements: 50% national travel
